- Kino is a very simple character. He has the love for his family, loyal to the traditions of his village and his neighbors and frustrated at the people's oppression at the hands of their European Colonizers. Kino also has a quick mind and a strong work ethic. He also feels a close and pure kinship with the natural world and the source of his livelihood.
- The Main Character is Kino. Because the story was all about his journey and his battle to protect his family.

Description of the Supporting Characters
Apolonia - the wife of Juan Tomas. She follows Juan Tomas as he escorts Kino into town to sell the Pearl, and she raise a formal mourning when Kino's hut burns and no sign of them is found.
Juan Tomas - the husband of Apolonia and Kin's older brother. He gave the thought of selling the Pearl and he warned Kino that if he refuses to sell the Pearl to the buyers, he will put his family in danger. Juan is the one who gathers supply that Kino and Juana will need in their journey. Juan is the one who protected Kino's life, as well as the life of Kino's family.
The Doctor - is wealthier than the people in La Paz. He refuses to cure Coyotito when Kino and Juana brought him the Doctor because Kino and Juana has no money to pay the treatment. When he found out that Kino found a precious Pearl, he came to Kino's hut and treated Coyotito. He pretended that he doesn't know about the Pearl.

The Pearl is set in La Paz, Mexico, a coastal town in the Gulf of Mexico.

- Kino and Juana returned to the village and throw the Pearl back into the ocean.

·The Book says that people should be contented with one's life and that greed invites misfortune.The books also show Dignity and we should not opress native cultures. And it shows that wealth can destroy men, wealth can cause unwanted friends and when you have a chance to do a good deed, do it.
·The Book showed me how to be courageous and I've learned that greed is a destructive force that can put your life in trouble.
·The problem that the main character encountered in the story is that, they are followed by trackers and he attacks the trackers before they can make a move to harm Kino and his family.

VI Evaluation of the Book
· I really love the book because it shows how life can be changed by just a single problem that a person tries to solve. What I love abput the story is that, the main character is a very responsible father. He only wants what's best for his family and he is really working hard to provide his family's needs. The book really shows tha real meaning of Love, Courage and Faith.
